This range is one of the EVDRE ranges. It makes it possible to define which cells a user only wants to retrieve values. The cells are designated as read-only.

Input schedules have all the same features as BPC reports, but additionally, they have a special flag that allows authorized users to enter and submit data to the database.

Journals are used to record and make adjustments to data in the database. This is typically done as part of the month-end or quarter-end process. Journals consist of a header and detail information.

Measures define how the data are displayed within the application. In a YTD application, data are submitted year-to-date (i.e. Consolidation application) whereas in a Planning application, the data are submitted and stored in periodic format.

A mandatory property for the account dimension. There are 4 different account types: -AST: used for assets (BS) -LEQ: used for liabilities and equity (BS) -INC: used for income (P&L) -EXP: used for expenses (P&L)

Een BW DataStore Object stelt een gewone fysieke tabel voor. In een data flow wordt dit object typisch gebruikt als Enterprise Data Warehouse laag, om (historische) transactionele data op te slaan alvorens ze door te laden naar de rapporteringslaag.Het is ook het object waar de SID’s worden aangemaakt en de delta’s worden verwerkt. Voor rapporteringsdoeleinden wordt aangeraden dit object enkel te gebruiken voor het weergeven van transactionele data op het laagste niveau van detail.

This function allows users to define formulas that perform calculations with special requirements on Planning and Consolidation dimension members and data.

Dimension formulas are MDX calculations linked to a specific dimension (i.e. account) maintained together with the dimension members and properties. Dimension formulas are not stored in the database but retrieve on refresh time of the report.

A model (V10) is a set of dimensions. It is a functional unit used for a particular purpose. It is comparable with an application. As from version 10, a SAP BPC application is called a model and is the equivalent of a cube.

The BW InfoCube is the star-scheme modelled InfoProvider optimized for multidimensional analysis. It is based on an ‘extended’ star scheme that models the Master Data outside the dimension tables. The InfoCube allows 16 dimensions (containing multiple InfoObjects) and multiple key figures.
